He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McGowan and Clarinda McGowan (Behnke); his former wife Carol McGowan (Jesse); his daughter Dawn Fischer (Dan); and his siblings, Vilma Keller and Rodney McGowan.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy McGowan (Heath); his son Donn; his daughter-in-law Patty (Opsteen); his granddaughter Carly Minten (Alex); his sisters, Debbie Sonnleitner (Tony) and Sharon McGowan; his son Michael Heath (Cheri); his granddaughter Rachel Kelly (Chase); and his great grandchild Chloe.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
