He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Maxam and Helen Maxam (Habeck); his siblings, Donna Schnabl and Dennis Maxam; and his brothers-in-law, John Hanson and Dan Berg.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Mary Clements; his children, Mike Maxam (Cindy), Traci Brown (George), Pat Maxam and Joel Maxam (Nicole); his grandchildren, Nick Maxam (Lindsay), Alex Maxam (Jo Garrison), Gabrielle Brown, Sarah Maxam, Emily Maxam, Clay Maxam and Nolan Maxam; his sisters, Jan Hanson, Joyce Berg, Judy Peterson and Connie Morgando (Bill); and his brother-in-law Bob Schnabl. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
