Carol Irwin Mason Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Irwin Mason of Appleton, Wisconsin, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Ronald J. Mason; her children, Victoria Runnoe and Peter A. Mason; her daughter-in-law Samantha S. Mason; her grandchildren, Alexandra Runnoe, Samuel Runnoe, Robert Mason and Matthew Mason; and her sister Joan P. Irwin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Instead friends should drink a champagne toast to her memory and, if inclined, make a contribution to the Ronald J. and Carol I. Mason Fund for Excellence in Anthropology to support scholarly student research at Lawrence University or make a donation to the Door County Land Trust.
