She was predeceased by: her parents, George Birling and Eva Birling (Dietz); her husband Jay Leimer of Mary's Catholic Church; her in-law Harold Leimer (Thelma); her siblings, Helen Werner (Bud), Robert Birling (Evelyn), Donny Birling (Myrtle), Jerry Birling (Marge) and Len Birling; and her sister-in-law June Clausen (Peter).
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Gaschler (Lawrence), Bonnie Tomlin (Heath), Michael Leimer and Jaclyn Anthony; her grandsons, Joshua and Zachary Gaschler; her brother Dan Birling (Debbie); and her sisters-in-law, Sandra Birling, Laura Leimer (Milt Melander) and Grace Weiss (Josef). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
