He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kestly and Ann Kestly; his spouse Shirley Bovee; his brother Fritz; and his brother-in-law David Zwicky.

He is survived by: his son John Kestly (Margaret Quinlan) of Rothschild; his granddaughters, Stacy Martin (Rick) and Sara Kestly; his great grandchildren, Jack Martin, Maximus Martin, Ashley Roberts (Cory) and Audrey Martino; his great great grandchildren, Roman and Franklin; his sisters, Sally Zwicky of Bass Lake, Sandy Vanderhei (Pete) of Bass Lake and Mary Sue Kestly of Kaukauna; and his sister-in-law Gail Kestly of Green Bay.
