He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rayner and Florence Helena Rayner; his wife Catherine Mary Firth; his aunt Ethel Rayner; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold, Ida Firth, Audrey, Betty and Colin.

He is survived by: his children, David Rayner (Cheryl) of Evergreen, CO, Stephen Rayner (Christine) of Kingman, AZ, Andrea Rasmussen (Thane) of Merrill, WI and Beverly Grabow (Andy) of Appleton, WI.. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
