He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice "Odell" Day and Eula Day (Tillary); his wife Cynthia "Sue" Burrows; his son Terry Day; his grandson Christopher; his brothers, Bobby Jack Day and David Dean Day; his son-in-law Wriley Burnett; and his brother-in-law Charles Bass.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Burnett, Cindy Zamparello (Mitch), Sherry Piraino (Greg) and John Day (Tammy); his daughter-in-law Patty Wilson; his sister Rosemary Bass; and his sister-in-law Maragret Day. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, along with many Nieces and Nephews.
