With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald E. Thomae of Antigo, Wisconsin, born in Effingham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his wife Renae Zach; and his brothers, Todd Thomae, Robert and Michael (Barbara Zach). He is survived by: his children, Charles Thomae (Sheri) of Wausau, Julie Brizard (Brian) of Mooresville, NC, Paul Thomae (Tiffany) of Antigo and Tami Liss (Adam) of Suamico; his grandchildren, Ava, Drew Brizard, Logan, Colton Thomae, Sidney, Violet, Hazel Liss, Jon Stuckart and Tamara Lanser; his great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jaydon Lanser, Noah, Kyle and McKenzi Stuckart; his siblings, Bill Thomae (Marcia) of Antigo and Nancy Jankowski (John) of Wausau; and his brother-in-law Jim Zach (Debby) of Mukwonago. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
