She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schmidt and Anna Schmidt (Grzywna); her husband Norman Sontag; her son Joseph Sontag; her siblings, Anita Bruger, Betty Ann Musselman, Gunther Schmidt, Ervin Schmidt, Hans Schmidt, Reuben Schmidt and Norm Schmidt; and her pet Pike.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Hastings of Lily; her grandchildren, Jessica Sontag, Ryan Hastings (Danie), Joseph Sontag, Rachel Hastings, Caitlin Sontag, Jamie Sontag, Callie Sontag, Noah Sontag and Justin Hastings; and her sister Adeline Beversdorf of Virginia. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
