He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Steger and Minnie Steger (Kluball); his granddaughter Katie Jo Honzik; his siblings, Clarence Steger (Joanne) and Phyllis Bastle (Kenneth); and his siblings-in-law, Tony Novak, Bessie Steger and Connie Arrowood (Pete).
He is survived by: his wife Sue Steger; his children, Kelly Steger (Christopher Honzik) of Deerbrook, Brenda Sue Mayr (Todd), Stephanie Steger, Matthew Steger (Naomi) of Antigo and David Steger Jr. (Tammy) of Antigo; his grandchildren, Kelsey Honzik (Jon Schultz), Kasey Honzik (Robert Theisen), Wilhemina Steger, Jack Steger, Josh Steger, Maximus Steger, Leviticus Steger, Noah Nicholson and Kendal Kickhaver; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Tula, Cash, Jax and Lula; his siblings, Lillian Novak of Deerbrook, John Steger (Jean) of Antigo, Earl Steger of Antigo and Edward Steger (Kathy) of Post Lake; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Oesterreich (Mary) and Rosemary Derrene of Antigo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (300 Lincoln St, Antigo, WI 54409).
