He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pat Pitt and Connie Pitt (Kostuch); his wife Judi Suski; his daughter Jill Groshek (Wayne); his siblings, Roger and Mary; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Ann Suski; his son Jay Pitt (Sue); his grandchildren, Jenna Mielke (Ryan), Jaimee Pitt and Trace Ludeman; his great grandchild Jill Groshek (Wayne); his sister Karen Ostrowski (Robert); his close friend Sally Woyak; and also, Garth, Garrett (Carly Sowiak), Ashley and Bryan. He was also cherished by his kids, their spouses, and his grandkids.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established a scholarship in his name.
