He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Willie" and Lily Maves (Hohn); his wife Caroline Maves; his grandson Kevin Voss; his son-in-law Godwin Voss; and his siblings, Marvin Maves and Mabel Dusel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Thoe (Maynard) of Waupaca, WI and Alice Voss (Roscoe Powell) of Weyauwega, WI; his grandchildren, Jason Thoe (Christine) of Amherst, WI, Jeremy Thoe (Kelli) of Santa Barbara, CA and Cindy Voss (Scott Richmond) of Baltimore, MD; and his great grandchildren, Kaden and Brooklyn Thoe of Amherst, WI.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Erwin W. Maves.
