As Janice Marie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janice Marie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janice Marie leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Johnson and Ada Johnson (Bruner); and her brother James Riley. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Petersen; her sister Karen Ford; and her stepchildren, Cheryl Petersen, Daryl Petersen, Greg Petersen (Linda) and Michael Petersen (Tina Cotts). She is also survived by many other step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Balsam Lutheran Church (1115 Mains Crossing Ave, Amery, WI 54001). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
