It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Melvin Mitchell of Amery, Wisconsin, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Mitchell and Eleanor Mitchell; his brother-in-law Michael Murphy; and his nephew Anthony Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gamache; his son Paul Mitchell (Therese); his granddaughter Isabelle; his sister Barbara Murphy; his nephew Timothy Murphy; and his niece Lynn Dwire. He is also survived by other loving relative and friends.
