He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Werner and Bessie Werner (Kulp); his former wife Clara Werner (Hodel); his brothers, Jerry, Thomas and Arnold Werner; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Engeldinger, Clarence "Bucky" Bruette and Elmer "Butch" Bruette.
He is survived by: his caregiver Sharon Werner (Bruette); his children, Keith Werner (Michelle) and Patricia; his stepsons, Roland Bobo (Kathy), Al Bobo (Sue) and James Nichols; his sisters, Nola Engeldinger and Mary Bright (Bud); and his sisters-in-law, Hope Reines and Betty Keller. He is also survived by several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
