He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Schnagl (Huffer) and Otto Schnagl; his former wife Joan Marie Schnagl; and his brother Ronald Schnagl. He is survived by: his children, Ann Louise Schnagl of Eau Claire, WI and Karl Otto Schnagl; his wife Sue of Prosper, Texas; his grandchildren, Drew, Abby and Ally; and his sister Shirley Burkard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
