With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Johnson of Altoona, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Johnson and Louise Johnson (Mikelson); his wife Marlene Garson; and his siblings, Merrill "Bub" (Burma Jean), Orlin "Bill" (Irene), Vernon (Leona) and Betty "Tootie" Lind (Harold).
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Terri), Todd (Becky), Cheri Hugdahl (Jeff), Jerry (Mary) and David (Christine); and his grandchildren, Sara, Melisa (Joel), Jeremy, Josh, Heather (Luke), Crystal (Derrick), Jeffrey Jr., Tabitha (Max), Tiffany (Dale), Emily (Alex), Ben, Abby (Karl), Madeline (Dakota), Meredith, Sophia and Gunnar. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1804 Highland Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
