He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Grilley; his daughters, Lori Brown (Steve) and Carol Young (Terry); his grandchildren, Shelby Wager (Stephen), Stephanie Brown and Ryan Brown; his great grandchild Stevie Wager; his son-in-law Bill Roach; his sister Dorothy Sorensen; his sister-in-law Aubrey Wittren; and his nieces and nephews, Nance Sampson, Cynthia Krumenauer and Mike Sorensen.

“Very sorry to learn of Ed's passing. I knew his family well in high school and they were like family to me. Lori was a great friend I met through church youth choir. Very sorry to see sister Janis has passed. About 20 years ago I was able to visit with Ed and Sharon at a reunion at Our Saviors. Ed seemed really sad about having to move away from the Beloit area when he saw all the old friends and church members that day missing those folks. I wish all the family the best. “I recently got the news of Don's (Ed) passing and wanted to send my condolences to his family. I had the pleasure to play golf with him, go fishing in Tampa Bay, and sit on his patio together and drink 100 shots of beer, 1 a minute, for 100 minutes. While I didn't send a lot of time with Don and his beautiful family, the times I did were always special. He will be missed. Allen B.”
