He was predeceased by: his parents, Esper Peterson and Edith Peterson (Lutz); his wife Esther Eickstedt; and his siblings, Laura, Marie, John, Dale, Floyd and Elmer.

He is survived by: his siblings, Harlow Peterson (Jane), Vila Vroman, Andy Peterson, Betty Dittburner (Darwin) and Edith Ann Lamb.
