He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Helmrick and Edna Helmrick (Damrau); his parents-in-law, Harold and Irene Alm; and his daughter Peggy Bauman.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Helmrick of Plover; his sons, Philip Helmrick (Amy) of Stevens Point and Evan Helmrick (Lori) of Almond; his son-in-law Tim Bauman (Monica) of Hortonville; and his siblings, Sylvia Wahl of Appleton, Judith Swenson of Albuquerque, NM and Douglas Helmrick (Cynthia) of Weslaco, TX. He is also survived by four nieces and six nephews; along with cousins, other relatives and friends.
