She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hetzel and Bridget Hetzel (Barrett); her husband Bernard J. Lauer; her grandchildren, Eugene and Lisa; and her great grandchild Colyn.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Lauer (Mary), Kathleen Paddock (Paul), Mary Kapraun (John), Wayne Lauer (Cathleen), Dennis Lauer (Carol) and Michael Lauer (Paula). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
