He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heckendorf and Clara Heckendorf (Whitcup); and his siblings, Tina Pogrant, Earl Heckendorf and Fritz Heckendorf.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Heckendorf (Muchowicz); his stepdaughter Crystal Whalen (Ryan); his children, Pam Ackerman, Aimee Draheim and Christopher Lau; and his sisters, Louise Pittsley, Ruth Wendt and Lynn Kelly. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
