He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gores and Odelia Gores (Becker); his brother Ervin; his sister-in-law Marian; his siblings, John and Delores Brickner; his brother-in-law Leo Brickner; his nephew Bob Gores; his nieces, Mary Brickner Queen and Barbara Brickner Christianson; and his great-niece Stacey Quade Johnson.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary Ann Gores of Chetek. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
