He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schlagenhaft and Winifred Schlagenhaft; his sister Anne Faber; his parents-in-law, Ray and Malinda Schulz; and his brothers-in-law, George Ritger, Earl Schulz (Joyce) and Lyle Schulz (Bernice).

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Schlagenhaft; his son Chad Schlagenhaft; his sister Mary Ritger; and his brother-in-law Orville Schulz (Eileen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
