He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gau and Patricia Gau (Loberg); his brother Mark Gau; his mother-in-law Rebecca Eytcheson; his niece Brianna Magle; and his grandfather Edward Gau.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Gau; his children, Alex Gau (Mikayla) and Kyle Gau (Grey); his sister-in-law Lyndzi Eytcheson of Bailey's Harbor; his niece Cali Meverden; and his siblings, Greg Gau (Tina), Tom Gau (Sue), Brenda Bott (Joe), Tracie Gau (Mark) and Sevastopol. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in Shawn's name.
