He is survived by: his wife Susan Sandstrom; his daughter-in-law Michele Munson; his granddaughter Gabriella Berkley; his great grandchild Luna Berkley; his grandson Isaac Berkley; his son David Berkley (Tammy Berkley); his grandchildren, Ashley Nowland, Jordan Nowland (Natalie Nowland), Nate Berkley (Alice Berkley), Haley Nowland and Joe Berkley; his great grandchild Erin Grunwald; his stepsons, James Sandstrom and John Sandstrom; his sister Pam Ross (Berkley); his brother-in-law Doug Ross; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Ross, Julie Powers, Bradley Ross, Scott Ross and Jennifer Roberts.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Algoma United Methodist Church (804 Parker Ave, Algoma, WI 54201). In 2024, as Bob encountered health challenges precipitated by two severe bouts of COVID and associated cardio-pulmonary complications, Sue and his family members cared for him tirelessly.
In lieu of flowers, Bob's family invites friends and loved ones to consider making a donation in his memory. Contributions may be made to either or both of the following causes that reflect Bob's lifelong passions for nature, community, and service.
