It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Joseph Gilson (Algoma, Wisconsin), born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gilson and Lorraine Gilson (Piton); his grandson Noah Johnson; his son-in-law Jack Yunk; and his siblings, Garland Gilson (Doreen), Leland Gilson and Marie Boulanger (Lawrence).
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his daughters, Linda Yunk, Sandy Zima and Karen Johnson (Tim) of Foster City, MI; his grandchildren, Norie Yunk (Darren Williams), Nichole Todd (Lea), Natalia Cox (Travis), Eli Johnson (Taylor) and Austin Johnson; his great grandchildren, Evan Idso, Jane, Juliet Todd, Johnny Cox and Grayson Johnson; and his sister-in-law Carol Gilson. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
