He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Groessl and Agnes Groessl (McLaughlin); his wife Beth Shaw of John's Cathedral; his children, Mike, Mitch and Debbie Hareland; his great grandchild Aubree; his sisters, Mary Ann and Jean Kubiak; and his brothers-in-law, John Kubiak, Lloyd Cesar, Robert Shaw, Nick Weisner (Joyce) and Roger Faken (Colleen).
He is survived by: his sons, Dave (Jane) and Mark (Barbie); his children-in-law, Gary Hareland and Joan; his grandchildren, Terri Lebrecht (Adam), Jeff (Chelsey), Jackie Thompson (Wayne), Nick (Megan), Ben (Emmy), Rory (Sarah), Casey (Shayna) and Quinn; his great grandchildren, Caden, Reece, Wesley, Otis, Tabatha, Jack, Lola, Lauren, Kalynn, Levi and Greyson; and his sister Kay Cesar.
