He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville DeGrave and Mary DeVillers; his siblings, Richard DeGrave, Arnie Tassoul, John DeGrave (Rita), Ciel Tassoul and Janet DeGrave; and his daughter-in-law Michele Klessig.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia DeGrave; and his children, Samantha Konitzer (Chris), Algoma, Lucy Klessig (Jim Jandrin), Hugo Klessig (Marsha), Green Bay and Chad Klessig. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
