He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Willems and Doris Willems (DeGrave); and his wife Barbara Bolles. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Dachlet (David) and Jan Willems; and his siblings, Jule Willems (Grier), Diane Martin (Jim), Jim Willems (Wendy), Dora Meyer (John) and Suzy Wians. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made out to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Foundation in memory of Elmer.
