He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Wienke and Ruth Wienke (Toepel); his brother-in-law Eric Nelson; and his nephew Carl Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jane Nelson; his children, Hans (Kaye Wienke), Sigrid (David Slaby), Tollef (Sheila Wienke) and Marit (Jim Virgin); his grandchildren, Ian, Aidan Wienke, Sam Slaby (Lindsey Brehmer), Nate Slaby (Lyanne), Ella, Sanya, Paula, Shambo, Tre, Zone, Daniel, Kemal, Maria, Jhonatan Wienke, Wolfgang, Greta and Sven Virgin; his siblings, Joanne (Kenneth Cocking) and Jon; and his parents-in-law, Theresa Nelson, Roger, Mary Nelson, Lyle, Monica Nelson, Alfred "Fritz" and Joyce Nelson of College Station, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
