He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; and his brother-in-law Don Duescher. He is survived by: his children, Carl Waterstreet (Gail) and Wanda Thomas (Al); his grandchildren, Carl G. Waterstreet, Derek Waterstreet (Kate), Brian Deprez and Randy Thomas; his great grandchildren, Kayla, Conor, Kenadi and Christopher; his stepchildren, Robert Kaye (Monica) and Billy Kaye; and his sister Shirley Duescher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and the Schneider relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to the Kidney Foundation or Amvets Post 42, Algoma.
