It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Minnie Schmidt of Algoma, Wisconsin, born in Maplewood, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 18, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Rudolph Schmidt; her husband Frank Schmidt; her siblings, Roger Maedke and Verna Kiefer; her foster parents, Wallace Wells and Esther Wells; and her foster brothers, Donald and Richard Wells.
She is survived by: her grandchild Laurel; her children, Stephen Schmidt (Maxine) and Laurel Marshall (Roland); and her siblings-in-law, Jim Kiefer, Minette Wells, Tom Schmidt (Maxine) and David Schmidt (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or School.
