He is survived by: his children, Steven Armstrong (Jan), Craig Armstrong (MaryAnn), Carol Ann Vale (Dan) and Karen Armstrong; his grandchildren, Michelle, Richard, Jessica, Tanya, Jeremy, Jennifer, Katy and Rachel; and his close friend Corina Schmidt. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
