He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Harter and Alice Harter (Fredrich); his aunts and uncles, Alton Harter (Florence), Marlin Harter (Evangeline "Vannie"), Laverne Kleinke (Fredrick), Clarence Fredrich (Helen) and Gordon Fredrich (Ruth); and his cousins, Ronald Harter, Kenneth Harter, Jeannette Meunier, Audrey Fredrich, Carol Babicky, Alvin Giese and Rick Giese.
He is survived by: his brother Gale Harter (Mary Jane); his nieces, Stephanie Huff (Matthew), Rachel Mayer (Dan) and Rebecca Schneider (Adam); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Stella, Henry Huff, Brynn, Camdyn Mayer, Maya, Keagen and Amelia Schneider; and his friend Randy Schladweiler (Debbie). He is also survived by cousins, as well as other relatives and friends.
