He was predeceased by: his parents, George Funk and Elizabeth Funk (Kah); his siblings, Joyce Funk and Kenny Funk; his nephew Jonathan Gross; his parents-in-law, Clarence Fliess and Diane Hoffmann; and his brothers-in-law, Troy Fliess, Clarence "Gus" Fliess, Jay Fliess, Scott Harms and Geno Donaldson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Fliess of Rita's Catholic Church; his children, Shawn Funk and Brandy Burns (Rick); his grandsons, Austin Funk and Tyler Burns; his siblings, Phillip "Skip" Funk (Lou) and Georgeann Gross (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Fliess, Debbie "Deb" Harms, Denise Donaldson, Maria and Lucy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Roseberry's Funeral Home (512 N Main St, Friendship, WI 53934). The military honors was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
