He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Williams and Verna Williams (Pedersen); his grandson Jonathan Jr.; and his brothers, Randal and Ronald.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca A. Dye; his sons, Jonathan (Tina) of Arkdale and Alexander (Adrienne) of Arkdale; his grandchildren, Christian, Kasondra, Katelyn and Franklin; and his siblings, Teresa of Madison and Dan (Sandy) of Friendship. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
