Mary Alice Gumz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Alice Gumz of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Erickson and Louise Erickson (Daines); her husband Herbert "Herbie" Gumz; her son Mark; and her brothers, Robert Erickson (Bev) and Eugene Erickson.
She is survived by: her children, Dean of Dorchester, Sandra Lueddecke (David) of Abbotsford, Donna Purgett of Owen, David of Eau Claire, Rodney (Dawn) of Edgar, Daryl (Patricia) of Loyal and Kurt (Lori) of Dorchester; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Erickson and Doris Apfelbeck. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home (203 N 4th St, Abbotsford, WI 54405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Church of Christ (111 S 2nd St, Colby, WI 54421).
