She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Koptizke and Laura Koptizke (Bielfeld); her children, Joseph and Corrine; her sisters, Betty Joyce, Karen Feine and Joan Brennan; and her son-in-law Harry Fox (Lanny Voss).
She is survived by: her former husband Carl Thorson; her children, Jeffery Thorson (Theresa) of Curtiss and Laurie Fox of Abbotsford; and her grandchildren, Natalie, Josh, Matthew, Deanna, Steven and Michael. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
