He was predeceased by: his father Ray Zapien; his grandparents, Claude, Ruby Phillips, Manuel and Sarah Zapien; and his pet Chico.
He is survived by: his mother Colleen Zapien; his wife Evonne Bernal; his stepsons, Nathan York and Nick York; his daughters, Cassie Zapien, Zoey Zapien and Raelynn Zapien; his siblings, Bobby Zapien, Dean Zapien, Gus Zapien (Christine) and Michelle Dominguez (Andrew); and his parents-in-law, Jesus and Shirley Bernal. He is also survived by loving father leaving behind 2 handsome sons, and 3 beautiful daughters.
