He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bauer and Marie Bauer; and his siblings, Ken "Speed" Bauer, Bernice Hamermeister and Frank "Bozo" Bauer.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Bauer (Foster); his daughter Christal Ann Bauer; and his siblings, Robert Joseph Bauer, Sheila Noel (Gene), Emma Peden and Anna "Candy" Douglas (Tommy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
