He was predeceased by: his son Walter; and his granddaughter Michele. He is survived by: his spouse Marion Francis White; his close friend Marion; and his children, David (Marlyn) and Paula (Jeff). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Baptist Children's Home of Portales, New Mexico.
