With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Spencer Derek Hatfield of Yakima, Washington, born in Athens, Ohio, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 20. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his cousin Mitchell. He is survived by: his parents, Derek and Danielle; his siblings, Meagan (Tyler), Ethan, Bryce and Tyler; and his grandparents, Ron, Linda Hatfield of Yakima, WA, Phil and Kathy Grothaus. He is also survived by 21 aunts and uncles, and 34 cousins.

In lieu of flowers, those who would like to honor Spencer can donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities, which served Spencer's family very well in his early life.
