It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ruth Irene Coffin Schroeder of Yakima, Washington, who passed away at the age of 97, on June 24, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Schroeder; her son Richard Coffin; and her former husband Stanley Coffin. She is survived by: her children, Chris (Julie Atwood), Tom (Robin Rankin Coffin) and Sarah Coffin; her grandchildren, Rachelle Naranjo (Michael), Laban Coffin, Wiley Coffin (Brette) and Carl Coffin (Christian Durham); and her great grandchildren, Jessica Kennedy (Eric), Sara Naranjo, Cassidy, Theo Coffin and Ronin Coffin.
During the pandemic a positive thing happened when Ruth was able to reconnect, via Zoom, with her Seattle based book club, that she had been a member of for 40 plus years.
As a remembrance, if you wish, Ruth asked that you consider a donation payable to the Myositis Association to support research into this debilitating disease, or to the Warehouse Theater in Yakima, and send in care of Brookside Funeral Home (P.O. Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
