We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2023, at the age of 84, Frances Diaz Cerna of Yakima, Washington, born in Morrill, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Jesse Macias; her children, Patricia Thomas, Michael P. Macias and Tony Macias; and her granddaughter April N. Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband Peter Cerna; her sons, Jesse, Richard Macias of Yakima and David Macias of Seattle; her granddaughter Ashley Rodriguez (Raul) of Renton; her daughter Gerri Buttrey (Steven) of Selah; and her siblings, Josie Moore (John), Mary Salazar, Sally Diaz and Pete Diaz. She is also survived by numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
