She was predeceased by: her parents, Almeda Gier and Irwin Gier; her siblings, Mary Penfield (Harley), Lynn Gier (Monoleen), Donald Gier (Lucille), Jim Gier (Mae), Marjorie Hiatt (Bob) and Topsy Hanson (Roland); her husband Donald Ray; and her stepchildren, Larry Ray and Joanne Ray.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Linda Hoerner (Al) and Donald Ray (Stacy); and her grandchildren, Michael Hoerner, Vickie Jackson (Mark) and Stephanie Ray. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
After the onset of Alzheimer's, she moved in with her son and daughter-in-law and continued finding joy and happiness in life.
