“Sue “Mrs. Campbell” - teacher, mentor, encourager of angsty pre-teens- St. Brendan Class of ‘83 burned through 2 1/2 6th grade teachers before Sue took us under her wing for 7th and 8th grade. Using perfect proportions of humor, love, & high standards, she made our unruly bunch feel worthy of a top notch education, w/o sacrificing uniqueness or individuality. She let us name her plant “Robert” (which flourished with her coffee dregs)-the type of teacher who lives in her students’ hearts forever”
