He is survived by: his parents, LeRoy Merchant and Ruth Merchant (Pettit); his siblings, Marsha Padgett Dupree, Winnie Rakoz (Larry) and Larry Merchant (Carol) of Winlock; and his sisters-in-law, Carla Hollinger and Robin Merchant. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
