She is survived by: her parents, Heikki John and Anna Ripatti (Iivonen); her husband Ronnie Cowles of Westport; and her children, Ron Cowles (Mikki) of Central Park and Roseanna Morrill (Doug) of Aberdeen. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
