He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Tate and Ruth Tate (Caraway); his wife Marlene Tate (Vanhoven); and his brothers, Charles and Marshall Tate.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce, Gerry, Jim and Carolyn; his sons, Barry Tate (Peri) of Wenatchee, Ben Tate (Susan) of Kansas City, Tony Tate of Wenatchee and Seth Tate of Wenatchee; his grandchildren, Linley Tate, Justin Tate, Brad Tate (Kelsie) and Brooke Tate; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Evelyn Tate, Luke, Jacob and Lydia Tate.
